Triton opened with toughness around the rim, grinding out a 9–5 lead early in the second quarter behind Savannah Hawley’s rebounding presence and Chloe McKinney’s steady scoring. But foul trouble and cold shooting allowed Manchester to claw back, and the Squires closed the half with momentum as Triton entered the break tied at 18. The third quarter saw both teams trading runs, with Manchester’s Emma Walker proving difficult to contain inside. Walker finished with a game-high 17 points, including 11 made free throws. Meanwhile, Triton leaned heavily on junior guard Mylie Groves, who erupted for 20 points, including four three-pointers, keeping the Trojans within striking distance. A late fourth-quarter push—sparked by McKinney, Groves, and defensive rotations forcing multiple Manchester turnovers—cut the deficit to one possession inside the final minute.
