FULTON — Triton turned in a dominant all-around performance Tuesday evening, defeating Caston 73-40 in the girls track dual. The Lady Trojans used their depth on the track, in the relays, and in the field events to steadily build separation and control the meet from start to finish. Triton got wins from Kiyliyen Fear in the 100-meter dash, Evelyn Gephart in the 800, Rilee Bemish in the 100 hurdles, Addison Albright in the 300 hurdles, and Avery Viers in three field events. Viers led the way with first-place finishes in the high jump, discus, and shot put, while Triton also swept all three relays to pile up points. Caston answered with several standout efforts of its own. Grace Colvin won the 200-meter dash, Camila Hernandez-Rios captured the 400, Hannah Rogers swept the 1600 and 3200, and Ripley Beck added a first-place finish in the long jump. But Triton’s balance proved too much, especially in the middle-distance races and field events, where the Lady Trojans consistently stacked top finishes. Triton’s distance crew gave the visitors a major lift, with Gephart, McKenna Emenaker, Chloe McKinney, and Kayla Poff going 1-2-3-4 in the 800. The Lady Trojans also went 2-3-4 in the 1600 and added runner-up finishes from Izzy Rettinger in both hurdle races. With strong scoring throughout the lineup, Triton had more than enough to put away the Comets by night’s end.
