BOURBON — Another night, another piece of history for Drew Bingamon. One night after becoming Triton’s all-time career strikeout leader, Bingamon added another milestone Friday evening, becoming the school’s all-time hits leader during the Trojans’ 13-0 home victory over Winamac. The senior outfielder and pitcher delivered the record-breaking hit with a double to the fence in his final at bat of the night, surpassing Scott Blackford’s previous mark of 131 career hits as Triton completed the season sweep of the Warriors. The Trojans exploded offensively from the start, scoring once in the first inning before erupting for seven runs in the second to take complete control. Triton added another run in the third and four more in the fourth to finish with 13 runs on 11 hits in the five-inning victory. Bingamon finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double, while Jaxon Prater collected two doubles and drove in two runs. Blake Ousley added two hits and scored twice, and Braxton Kaufman reached base three times while scoring three runs. Max Johnson added a double and two RBIs, Maddox Dennie drove in two runs, and Brayden Gunnels contributed a hit and RBI for the Trojans. Kaufman dominated on the mound, tossing a two-hit shutout while striking out 11 Warriors over five innings. He did not allow a walk in the complete-game effort. Winamac’s only hits came from Luke Clemons and Xavier Adriano.
