CULVER — Triton made it a clean sweep at the 2026 Hoosier North Athletic Conference Track Meet on May 12 at Culver Community High School, with both the Trojans and Lady Trojans bringing home conference championships. The Triton boys won the HNAC title with 135 points, finishing ahead of Winamac’s 120 and North Judson-San Pierre’s 102. The Triton girls also claimed the conference crown, scoring 123.5 points to hold off Pioneer, which finished second with 109, and Winamac, which placed third with 99. The night was highlighted by four new boys HNAC records, including two involving Triton. Isaac Quintana broke the conference record in the 400 meters with a winning time of 50.51, beating the previous mark of 50.79 set by North Judson’s Eric Materna in 2023. Quintana later helped Triton close the meet with another record-setting performance in the 4x400 relay, teaming with Jayden Overmyer, Cayden Bradley and Jackson Faulkner to win in 3:34.00. That time broke the previous HNAC record of 3:35.02 set by LaVille’s Ethan Yoder, Nick Felke, Kaiden Rush and Kolby Watts in 2019. North Judson-San Pierre also had a record-setting night. Alex Kajer broke the HNAC record in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.16, topping the previous record of 15.25 set by Pioneer’s Ezra Lewellen in 2021. Kajer also joined Evan McGowen, Aiden McGowen and Wyatt Fogus on North Judson’s record-breaking 4x100 relay team, which won in 44.04. The Blue Jays broke the previous HNAC mark of 44.70 set by Pioneer’s Addai Lewellen, Ezra Lewellen, Brenton Mersch and Damon Montgomery in 2019. Quintana led the Triton boys with a standout night, winning both the 400 meters and 200 meters. He captured the 400 in record-setting fashion at 50.51 and came back to win the 200 in 23.37. Cameron Callahan added another individual conference championship for Triton by winning the high jump at 6 feet. The Trojans also piled up key points throughout the lineup. Jayden Overmyer was second in the 100, Callahan was second in the long jump and fourth in the 100, Vinny Prater was second in both hurdle races, Bradley and Clayton Andrews went second and third in the pole vault, and Jackson Faulkner added a fourth-place finish in the 400. Brady Schuh scored in both throwing events, placing fourth in shot put and sixth in discus. The Lady Trojans used depth across the track and field events to secure their team championship. Triton opened the meet with a win in the 4x800 relay, as Izzy Rettinger, McKenna Emenaker, Chloe McKinney and Evelyn Gephart finished first in 11:04.92. Gephart and Emenaker were major point scorers in the distance events. Emenaker placed second in the 1600 and third in the 800, while Gephart was second in the 800, third in the 1600 and second in the 3200. Rettinger also added a third-place finish in the 3200. Addison Albright helped lead Triton in the hurdles, placing third in the 100 hurdles and second in the 300 hurdles. Rilee Bemish was second in the pole vault at 8 feet, 6 inches and also scored in both hurdle races. Kiyliyen Fear added points in the sprints, high jump and long jump, while Avery Faulkner tied for third in the high jump. Triton also scored in all three girls relays, placing first in the 4x800, third in the 4x100 and second in the 4x400.
