WARSAW - Triton senior Chloe McKinney earned medalist honors Monday evening as the Lady Trojans hosted a dual against North Miami and Whitko at Rozella Ford Golf Club. McKinney carded a nine-hole score of 42, finishing four strokes ahead of North Miami’s Alex Blackford for the best individual round of the match. McKinney recorded pars on the par-3 fifth and par-4 sixth holes. Brooke Kitch provided Triton’s second-best score with a 52, tying Whitko’s Adalyn Luecke for fourth place overall. Sydney Heckaman finished with a 56, while Alexis Young completed the Lady Trojans’ team scoring with a 67. North Miami won the three-team match with a score of 208. Triton placed second with a 217, nine strokes behind the Warriors and 16 strokes ahead of Whitko’s 233. The teams competed in humid conditions with temperatures in the low 80s. Next, Triton will face Rochester and Warsaw on Wednesday, Aug. 12, at Stonehenge Golf Club.
