BOURBON - The Triton boys tennis team opened its 2026 season in dominant fashion Tuesday evening, earning a 5-0 home victory over John Glenn. The Trojans controlled all five varsity matches, winning each in straight sets and surrendering only eight games throughout the evening. Senior Max Ritchison led Triton at No. 1 singles with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory over senior Drennon Nance. Senior Colton Large produced the same result at No. 2 singles, defeating junior Levi Litteral 6-1, 6-0. Junior Levi McFarland completed Triton’s singles sweep by taking down junior George Guseilla 6-0, 6-2 in the No. 3 position. The Trojans were equally impressive in doubles play. Juniors Brayden Nifong and Max Johnson defeated sophomores Bryce Rauen and Aksel Rauen 6-0, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. At No. 2 doubles, juniors Clayton Andrews and Brady Heckaman secured the sweep with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over sophomores Lincoln Reese and Braxten Knepp. Triton’s JV players also went unbeaten, winning all four of their matches. Sophomore Camden Large earned an 8-0 victory over freshman Braxten Whitmer in singles play. Juniors Jackson Faulkner and Aiden Emkow won their doubles match 6-0, while junior Kayden Hummitch and senior Oliver Ickes recorded a 6-1 victory.
