WINAMAC — Triton fell to Winamac 40-0 Friday night at Roudebush Field. The Warriors led 14-0 after the first quarter and scored 20 more points in the second to take a 34-0 halftime lead. Winamac added a touchdown in the third quarter. Neither team scored in the fourth. Triton finished with 147 yards of offense, including 118 rushing yards. Ryder Gayheart led the Trojans with 102 yards on 24 carries. Chris Fenton added 24 yards on eight attempts. Gayheart completed 3 of 6 passes for 29 yards. Jackson Richie caught a 15-yard pass, and Cayden Bradley had two receptions for 14 yards. Triton recorded eight first downs and held the ball for 30:54, but lost three fumbles and threw one interception. The Trojans converted three of six fourth-down attempts. Winamac gained 414 yards of offense. Messer Loehmer rushed for 110 yards, including a 99-yard touchdown run. Louis Rugg III caught both of Xavier Adriano’s completed passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Logan Collins led the Triton defense with eight tackles. Christian McIntire had seven, while Bradley added four.
