FULTON - What a difference a little less humidity can make to cross country runners. Today was the 35th Annual Caston Invitational. The girls team came in 2nd place overall for the second year in a row. This is the second time they missed out on the trophy by less then 10 points. On the flip side, every single runner set new records for themselves on the day. I'm sure the cooler weather made a huge difference in their races. A huge CONGRATS goes out to Evelyn Gephart, Kensie Schuh, and Izzy Rettinger for all placing in the top 10!!! Evelyn Gephart placed 2nd out of 60 runners with a time of 21:51.77. Kensie Schuh placed 6th setting a new Season Best time of 22:24.42. Izzy Rettinger also set a new SB time of 23:04.96 while placing 10th overall. Kailyn Schuh placed 17th setting a SB Time of 24:37.54 and Freshman Joelie Stetzel set a new Personal Record of 25:35.26 while placing 22nd on the day. Not to be forgotten. The long Varsity Boy, freshman, Corgan Young, also set a Personal Record today at 21:16.4. He placed 38th out of 75 runners.
