CULVER - A beautiful fall morning for the 44th Annual Culver Academies Cross Country Invitational! Even though overall numbers of runners was down a bit from last year. The field was full of runners today setting great times for themselves on the sunny course. The Triton Girls Varsity team placed again this year, coming in 6th overall out of 18 teams. There were 170 Varsity Girl runners overall. Congratulations goes out to Evelyn Gephart and Kensie Schuh for medaling today! Individual Results were as follows: 14th place was Evenlyn Gephart at 21:24.9 which is a new Personal Record for her, previously set from almost a year ago at Tippy Valley. 27th place was Kensie Schuh at 22:06.7 which is only 2 tenths off her PR. 43rd place was Isabelle Rettinger at 23:01.1. 51st place was Kailyn Schuh at 23:16.6 which is a new season best time for her. Especially after coming off a home meet where she wasn't able to finish due to illness. Nice to see her feeling better and running her best race. 102nd place was Jollie Stetzel at 25:28.9. Triton had two boys running today as Gavin Summe decided to join the team mid season. He's been practicing to become eligible to run and today was his first official race. Which he ran in great time. Gavin came in 118th place at 20:44.3. An awesome time which I'm sure we will see improve as the year finishes out. Corgan Young finally having a companion to run with pushed himself to one of his best times of the season at 21:37.6 placing 137th on the day out of 199 total Varsity Boy Runners.
