BOURBON — The JV Lady Trojans overcame a slow start to defeat visiting Manchester 33–31 on Friday, November 6, improving to 2–0. Sophomore Addalyn Bailey led the Lady Trojans with 10 points, including two three-pointers, and six rebounds. Sophomore Avery Faulkner added seven points, three rebounds, three steals and two blocked shots. Manchester led 9–2 after the opening quarter, but Triton responded with an 11–7 advantage in the second to cut the deficit to 16–13 at halftime. The Lady Trojans pulled within 26–25 after three quarters, then outscored the Lady Squires 8–5 in the fourth to earn the two-point victory. Sophomore Natalie Crooks contributed five points, six rebounds and two steals. Freshmen Aimee-Grace Overmyer and Avery Wright each scored four points, with Overmyer collecting five rebounds and Wright grabbing six. Sophomore Jada Bules finished with three points, six rebounds and two assists. Triton shot 11-for-40 from the field, including 3-for-10 from three-point range, and made eight of 20 free throws. Manchester finished 12-for-48 from the floor and 4-for-12 at the line. Sophomore Rachel Eberly led Manchester with 15 points, while sophomore Hannah Dawson added six. Freshman Kendall Lauer collected 10 rebounds and three blocked shots to go with three points. Triton travels to Argos on Tuesday, November 10, with a tip scheduled for 6:00 pm ET.
